Inplace activation of MS word -> not possible to edit page headers

Tech-Archive recommends: Speed Up your PC by fixing your registry

My application runs a inplace activation of MS word.
It is not possible to edit page headers and footers, and the menu Show->page
headers and footers are disabled.
Is it as designed og can i trick it so it is possible ?
