Apparently so via Vista Codec Package.

Is FFDShow or AC3filter on your system?

Before yesterday, everything was OK. Today, after the 15 updates, there's
no sound in Media Player at all, for any format, including WMA. The Media
Player sound control isn't set to mute, nor is Vista itself. Sounds play
fine, and other media players (WinAmp, etc.) play perfectly. Speakers
test fine in Vista Sound Control Panel applet.
I'm going to try System Restore, but that's gonna block all the updates
and they're gonna be downloaded and installed again, probably breaking
Media Player again.
Any idea what the problem is and when/how to fix?
Thanks,
John
