Try right clicking on the black screen. If "error details" is clickable and
not grayed out it means the video won't be playable on your computer. My
experience is this happens 50% to 75% of the time.

Hello. I have WMP 11 and Vista. When I try to watch streaming video on
the
internet that uses WMP - it just is a black screen that says ready in the
bottom right hand corner. Any ideas?
