RE: HELP Please...How to disable Media player 11 rip function?

Sorry, that's all I have. My response was directly from the Experts exchange.
Recommend you uninstall WMP11, and reinstall it. You state that it will not
let you edit some of the info, which may be due to corrupt files (maybe).

Shew! Thanks for the info...as I thought I would have to sleep with my boss
(again) so not to get into trouble.

Yeah!!! That is good info...unfortunately it doesn't work. I tried to
'uncheck' all name options, but it will not allow to uncheck all???
Result...is that one remains checked...

Again...any more info is really appreciated...and keeps me from getting bent
over. LOL!

Thanks,

Yes, I would mind. Join, get the solution and resign to avoid the fee.
But, here's something for you. Open WMP, click Tools>Options>
Rip Music tab>File Name button>uncheck if anything is checked like
Track Number, Song Title, etc.>Click OK>then in the Options window
Click Apply>OK out. Hope this helps. :~)

Is it possible to disable the RIP function in Windows Media Player v10 and

OS= Windows XP SP2
Media Player= Version 10 and 11

NO ripping to mp3 format wanted...and trying to stop that function...

Please help! Thanks...
