Media Player Hangs

I am using WMP11 under Vista Home Premium, 32 bit, with all updates. It has worked flawlessly until yesterday. Since then, it will open normally (as far as I can tell) but when I click any option (such as, Recorded TV), it hangs and will not respond. I noticed yesterday that there is an option for Internet TV-Beta that I had not seen or noticed before. Ehshell.exe is version 6.0.6000.16386.
