I am running Windows Media 11 with Windows XP Professional SP2 and all
current updates.
My problem is that when viewing 'live' streaming video (eg. BBC News24) I
get broken sound and video. The problem surprisingly does NOT occur when
viewing non 'live' streaming video (eg. BBC Weather Forecast).
Although I cannot see why, it seems that this problem commenced after I had
successfully tried out the new BBC iPlayer which required me to update to
the latest flash player. Prior to doing this, 'live' streaming video worked
perfectly with Medial Player 11. Of course this could be coincidental.
I have proved that the problem is not due to poor network bandwidth since my
laptop running with Windows Media Player 10 runs successfully with 'live'
video streaming (as an aside, I have not viewed BBC iPlayer on the laptop).
