Thanks Frank.
I have changed the setting and the copy protect flag but do not wish to go
through inserting the CD's again (some 150 + will take me ages again - my
whole stock of CD's)
I see. So "some of my CD's" was actually quite a lot / too much to
redo.
...so am hoping that I can somehow get the rip to pick up
the files that exist in WMA format...and then re-rip.
I tried to convert each one but the fact that they start protected does not
allow this....so if there is any way that I can import them to be ripped
again...that will solve all....Any ideas?
Please try the second option I mentioned, i.e. *Sync* the files/'songs'
to your MP3 player. You can try this with just one file/'song'. I.e. set
the Advanced Options... (of Sync) as I described and then try to Sync
just one file/'song' to your MP3 player by dragging it into the Sync
area on the right-hand side and then clicking Start Sync.
(As far as I know,) If your MP3 player 'advertises' (i.e. reports back
to WMP) that it can only play MP3 files, WMP should convert the WMA
'song' to MP3 format and then Sync (i.e. kind of copy) the resulting MP3
'song' to your MP3 player. I can't try this, because my player can play
both MP3 and WMA, so WMP will not convert WMA to MP3 because it's not
neccessary.
