I think he wants to make a copy directly, not rip and then burn.
Unfortunately the only way I have made a copy (WMP11) was to rip the CD to
mp3 tracks and then use those mp3 files to burn an audio CD. A bit
cumbersome but I'm sure there's a good reason or, more likely, I don't know
how to do it (make a direct copy)

I like to protect my audio collection by making a copy of the cd for my car
and keeping the bought cd at home where at cannot get stolen or damaged.

Is there a simple and/or free program that will allow me to do this? Or is
there a way to do this in Windows XP Media Center?
