1st thing to look at is that Transfer Mode for Secondary IDE
Channel/Advanced settings Tab set to DMA

One of my 8 years old comp. is Pentium III 500, 256MB RAM, 32MB video, Win
2000 Pro
Media Player Classic and VLC both play anything - no jittering, zero
problems

I would never use WMP for DVD playback even on Core 2 Dual 2.67Ghz, 2 Gig
RAM, 256MB Video XP Pro, SP2 - the same mentioned players
