lost visualizations on vista

Our visualizations in wmp 11 on vista have stopped working.
two hours ago they were fine, now we just get black.
The only thing that I can see that happened in that time was that the ie
flash add-on was installed - i uninstalled that and reset all WMP file
associations but it didn't help.

Anyone have any ideas ?
