Duplicate Entries in Library. MP11 issues

Request for help section:
In MP11, I am seeing duplicate entries of songs in my music library. THis
is happening on only some of the songs in the library. I think these are
songs that may have been loaded to an mp3 player (just prior to me giving up
completely on that technology!). How can I get MP11 to remove these
duplicates? Can I reset the library somehow to start the scan of my My
Music folder from scratch? Will this corrupt any tags that I have built
myself?
Complaining about the product section:
In short, I find MP11 to be a very difficult product. The interface is not
intuitive. Managing playlists is much more difficult than MP10 for me. Now
I have all ofhese duplicate entries that I need to remove.
