I don't use System Restore - for the most part it does not work and just
takes up sapce. I know, I am an Administrator.
I was able to do through and do some RegEdit changes - removing all the keys
with data pointing to the WMPlayer path, and then removing all the keys with
the version data. Removing the WMP component from the Windows Components list
and the Add/Remove Programs list.
I then re-installed WMP Beta 10 and it now works fine.
I also now use Sony Connect service instead of the Microsoft partnership of
MusicNow!
