Can't "record form CD"

    3 or 4 computders on small home network

    WMP with MP3 Plugin will automatically copy an audio CD to local server in
    MP3 format when audio CD is insertedinto drive

    Works fine on all PC's excpet the server itself - even trying to record
    manually the "Record now" button is greyed-out, although the list of tracks
    is displayed with the checkmarks and says shecked for recording - just that
    "Record" button is greyed out

    Server has DVD ROM and CD/DVD RW Drives

    Audio CD in either drive behaves the same

    Interesting, though, that I can copy to MP3 player iwthout a hitch -
    although not from audio CD - just from existing MP3 on HD.

    Bottom line seems that WMP (XP PRo) is optioned not to allow recording from
    local CDA drive - Since Ihave this working on a few other machines, I'm
    pretty sure I have the options all set correctlyu/......
