Re: Can't Print Library WM Player 9 Winter Fun Pack 2003 won't ins

I could probably get the right person to pull that package from
wmplugins.com if it really bothers you. If you're really asking the larger
question of "Can someone repackage a way old utility from 2003 so that it
works with Vista", that's a larger issue than you'd think.

So your questions then become:
* can the wmplugins page be updated?
* can the tool be updated?

Both of those are open-ended tasks. They're both on my plate to some
extent. But my plate is teeming with things, most of which most people find
more interesting, so -- we'll see what happens.

At this point, this tool is pretty much absolutely useless to you as it
stands. I bet if you had an XP system you could install it and then install
it across or something clevel like that, but otherwise this utility as it
stands is currently a dead end.

Sorry.

I would like to join my voice to JL Fitzpatrick's and add that this case is
even more ridiculous when we receive advices that are completely wrong and
on
top of that with a despise background from a person from Micro$oft,
supposed
to know what he says and able to help people instead of sending them to
pick
mushrooms.

First, I downloaded the package from a Vista page. According to one of the
answers here, criticising Fitzpatrick because the package is not supposed
to
be for Vista, he should do better to tell the site webmaster to take the
link
and recommendation from the page.

Secondly, it is not possible to follow the suggestions to change
permissions
on any of the mentioned security tabs. The permissions are not inherited
for
any folder under Program Files, not even for that same folder.

I am sure everybody would like to get useful helping answers, not silly
advices to make people get lost. Therefore, I am sure everyone reading
this
thread would be very glad for receiving a helping answer instead of simple
despising lies.
