Hello all,
I have spent days trying to get my vista home premium pc to connect with my
xbox 360 extender. I 'am running windows live one care and have a linksys
wrt54g wireless router. I have the xbox connected with ethernet cable and my
xbox live works fine but for some strange reason I cannot get them to connect
together. I have talked to linksys and had them help me open ports on my
router, Which I hope are right. And I have talked to xbox support and they
tell me to contact microsoft. Well I have to figure this out myself. I shut
down my firewall inside one care and try to connect and nothing I also turned
off the one care virus software no luck.
any help would be appreciated...

corey, I had the same problem and after much trial and error this is what
worked for me. Go to your router/gateway settings page on the internet. Click
on the wireless settings option, and then depending on what the UPnP setting
is you either select or deselect it. ie if the box is ticked, untick it. If
it is already unticked try ticking it. Sounds strange I know but it worked
for me (mine works unticked ). I had truly tried so many things and contacted
so many people that the simplicity of it was quite frustrating.... Good
luck.
