WMP 11 Stuck in Classic Mode

Last week, after having used WMP 11 for a while with no problems, when I
brought it up it appeared stuck in 'classic' mode. I could not see any files
in my library, or any of the normal tab at the top. The MP still seems to
function -- I can open and play even my protected media.
I saw the earlier post regarding this, and checked the Group Policy settings
-- they show "not configured" for everything.
I have also uninstalled back to WMP 9 and then re-installed... twice. No
difference. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
