Problems with Live-Streaming over longer periods of time

Hi,
We are having a little problem with live streaming using Windows Media
Encoder 9.
We have 2 sources in my Windows Media Encoder. One is the audio/video
from a video capture card. The other one is a little loopable videofile,
which is played, if the video from the capture card, is not used. Our
Goal is to stream 24/7.
Now we noticed, that after streaming one source over a long period of
time - for example a week, switching between the source takes a lot of
time. The longer the stream is running, the longer it takes to switch
between the sources. It also takes longer to stop the streaming.
I am talking about a timespan of some minutes after streaming some hours
to hours after streaming several days.
We also noticed, that the delay between the live video and the live
stream gets also bigger. So I assume, that the streaming of the video is
a little slower than the actual video.
Can somebody give me a hint, how to solve our problem with this strange
buffering of the video.
with kind regards
André Helbig
