Re: WMP 9 MP3 Speed Issue

Thanks for the reply... If you mean, have I copied them from the data CD to a
local disk drive, no, I haven't. And as for WMA files, since my entire music
collection is MP3, and works fine from the data CD that contains the
strangely-playing MP3s, I can't say if the install of WMP plays WMA files
normally, as I don't have any to test with. Also, another datapoint.. I have
a mixture of 64Kbps/96Kbps/128Kbps MP3 files on the disk and of the tracks
that play at 2x speed, there are affected files of all 3 of the bit rates..
Again, these files play fine from this CD at home on WinAmp, but since I made
the disk for work, I'm stuck with WMP to play them...

Do they work correctly if played from the local drive?
Do WMA files have this same problem?

I'm trying to play MP3 files via WMP 9 (9.00.00.3354) from a CD (data CD
burned with about 10 hours of MP3 files). About 90% of the tracks play
fine,
but the rest all play at approx 2x speed, like an old 33 1/3 rpm record
played at 45rpm.. (guess that dates me...) I usually use WinAMP at home,
but
this is the work computer and I can't install WinAMP here.. The same CD,
at
home, on WinAMP, plays all tracks normally.. I went looking in WMP's
menus
for something that might be misconfigured, but being not so familiar with
WMP, find nothing... Whats going on here??
