I have the Rosetta Stone. RS uses quicktime. It is the only reason I
have quicktime on my machine. It works fine on my XP machine until it
tries to display a moving image. I get a display error and it exits.
I have tried changing the compatibility mode and no setting stops the
error.
The same software runs fine on my XP laptop. I have installed all the
current updates.
I'm not sure what rosetta stone is / does, it sounds like a QT plugin?
Presuming you've tried uninstalling and reinstalling those packages,
in both orders (QT first, then RS first), what happens if you try to
play this video in real player or windows media player ?
It'd be useful to know if you can play anything at all in Quicktime,
what version of QT you've got, and anything you know about the video.
