Re: Fullscreen Programs - WMP11

You can't turn it off for fullscreen-only, but: you can do this in
generically (always) v11 by creating a REG_DWORD value named
"DeskbandFlyoutTimeout" under
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences . If you set
it to 0x0, it'll never show up. If you set it to 0xFFFFFFFF it'll always
show up. Anything in between it'll show up for that many milliseconds. The
normal setting is I believe 3000ms. If that value is not present, the
default is used.

Well, I have Windows Media Player 11 and I have to say that I absolutely
LOVE
it! I only have one problem though...

I currently have the Windows Media Player toolbar enabled in my taskbar
(i.e. when I minimize WMP, instead of just becoming a button on my
taskbar,
it becomes a miniature player with controls). I love this feature,
especially
the fact that when a new song starts playing, a small window pops up and
shows song information for about 10 seconds.

The only problem is... when I'm using a fullscreen program (like a game or
something), this small window still pops up whenever the song changes. It
gets very irritating.

Is there any way to turn this feature off for fullscreen programs?
