Okay, thank you for letting me know the Roxio burn failed as well. Please
contact the manufacturer of your computer for a new drive.

I just tried burning an audio cd throught Roxio Easy Media creater and is
not working either. It say is was successful but there is nothing on the cd.
It is starting to look like the drive itself. My computer is seven months
old so it is still under warranty.

How old is the burner drive? It sound suspiciously like the drive is
having
trouble getting beyond the first couple of blocks on the blank disc.

Have you tried other media (a different manufacturer)? What about an
external burner that plugs into a USB or Firewire port? Any chance you
can
try those?

The error that is mapped to C00D10DA is a basic "the drive failed to
burn".
Unfortunately the error message is comming from deep inside the burning
engine and is being "translated" to that basic error so we don't have any
way
of finding what the real cause is through the error message. We can only
try
other things to see if it's one of the basic "bad drive" or "bad media"
issues.

BTW, once the the player starts writing tracks to the disc, it becomes a
drink coaster if the burn doesn't complete, so you cannot re-use them for
another burn.

I tried that it just gives me the error sooner than when I first try.
When I
first start to burn a cd it says 'writing to disk' and has the status
bar,
it hit 100% and goes onto the next song it gets stuck on 10% then marks
that
song and all the rest with the error x and goes to 'finalize disk' than
marks the last song complete. There are no songs burned onto the cd
regardless. When I eject and re-insert it (it is identified as a blank
cd)
and click start burn like you mentioned the songs are instantly marked
with
an error.
I am guessing I can't use WMP 10 on Vista. I need to be able to burn cd's
it
is part of our business. Not a daily part but at least a couple of times
a
week I need to burn a cd.

No that shouldn't make a difference. I actually managed to get my disc
to
burn by ejecting it and then re-inserting it. Clicking the Start Burn
button
after doing this resulted in a clean burn.

Have you tried ejecting and re-inserting the disc?

I am trying to burn audio. I am wanting to burn some songs that are in
my
library. I am using CD-R media they are blank nothing on them.
The one thing I have done is used CDCreator Classic to burn a data CD
a
couple of days ago. The last time I burned a CD via WMP 11 was last
week.
Not sure if that makes a differnece.

Hi,

What kind of burn are you attempting, Audio or Data? Also what
media
type
and size are you using? CD or DVD, -R or -RW?

I actually just hit this error trying to burn a DVD-RW with a full
load
of
tracks. It was the second disc in a sequence of three. I need
similar
type
information from you please.
