irritating microsoft products that dont work together?

I too have the same WMP11 playback problem and I have a new Dell Dimension PC with WMP 11 loaded. A single mp3 plays fine but more than one and there is a cut out 7/8ths of the way into each song and then the final song will play fine!
I have loaded the Sigma Tel driver update as mentioned earlier on these pages but that has made no difference.
I was given shortshrift by Microsoft when i caleld them and told to speak to Dell who then informed me that this is a Windows Vista/WMP11 issues and they have been plagued with this problem. they also explained that i should either get WinAmp or wait for Microsoft to sort this out as it was their problem!
So who is right? Dell or Microsoft? And just who is going to sort out this silly irritating (see previous users question in forum)where one microsoft product doesn't work with another!?
I am fairly sure that it did work ok when i got the machine and that in actual fact there was an update loaded from microsoft that has royally screwed things up!!! Comment?
