Yes this is a great idea to seperate video and audio and combine them, I will
try it. Appreciate all your help!

You may be able to get it into an AVI container - the Help @ Youtube.
http://www.youtube.com/t/help_cat05 doesn't actually specify what can
go inside the AVI (and WMV can be placed in an AVI container using
windows media 9 capture)
Riverpast have "Cleaner" to convert WMP to DivX or other formats
http://www.riverpast.com/en/support/tutorials/convert/wmv/divx.php
I'm not sure what you'll be able to do about the audio - it could well
be that your PC is stretched to the limit of its performance encoding
the video (or your sound card can't keep up with playback and
encoding)
Probably you'd be better recording the video on its own, and then
combining the MP3 audio later using the Stream Editor provided in the
encoder install menu (ie, record the Vis with the MP3 playing but no
audio, then add the MP3 as an audio track).
Since visualisations change each time anyway, nobody will know the
difference - it's only an approximate syncrhonisation ;-)

I download and tried window media encoder, I used the screen capture option------------------------------------------------
and was able to create a wm audio/video file, does this format supported by
YouTube? One of the main issue with this is that the sound is very choppy. Is
there something I missed in the encoder's configuration? I appreciate your
help.

I have recorded a sound file (.mp3) in which I would like to convert into a
video to be broadcast in YouTube.com. Is it possible to play my mp3 file in
the wmp visualizer and convert it (visualizer effect and sound) and save as
video file format (.avi or mpeg)? so that I can upload to YOuTube.com. If
not what about player like itune for windows? Thanks
Hmm you'd have to think about using a screen capture with programs
like windows media encoder (free), or softcam (a few $) or Morae (a
lot of $).
An alternative might be to FullScreen the player, then connect a
standalone DVD recorder to the TV output of your graphics card, or
better use a VCR then sample it using a really bad TV card during
playback for that "authentic YouTube video quality " effect.
A pro might use a device called a "scan converter" which gets you back
in the $$$ region.
