Re: Cant Rollback! Please Help!

Tech-Archive recommends: Fix windows errors by optimizing your registry

Great, that's what I would expect.

Running WMP10's installer on top of a WM11 system is a really bad idea, and
the operating system Application Compatbility is preventing you from doing
that because it will cause data loss.

Don't do this. This particular avenue is a dead end.

You would want to actually reacquire those missing uninstall folders, either
from a friend or from product support. Without that, your only other viable
option is System Restore.

I want to roll back WMP 11 to 10 due to performance issues and when i

already been deleted.
What does this mean and how do I fix it?

I wonder how they became deleted - do you remember any sort of disk
cleanup you've run, say Norton or something similar ?

I looked in the folder and there was nothing but a bunch of random WMP
DLL's, nothing that i could run.
I installed WMP 11 with system restore turned off, could this mean
something?

I followed the steps that JOE727 gave me and now when I run the WMP 10
installer I get an error saying that this version Windows media
technoligies
is not comatible with this version windows. I am using XP Pro SP2
