I don't know what you've installed to your system - according to a quick
search, GSIM is spyware/an IE hijacker. So I'd remove that regardless.

If you don't know what you've installed and you don't know how to uninstall
it, you may want to look under:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\UIPlugins
and see if there's a Geiss entry there. If there is, you should be able to
delete the key in question and then start the player.

Or if you start the player with a video file, that might work too.
