Re: burning data cd's from WMP11

Yep. I was surprised too. It's in a 2007 Lincoln MkZ and other Ford
products. Don't know about GM or other mfgrs.

And . . . thanks for your response. Will try the XP burner method.

That's cool - I wasn't even aware they'd added that. Thanks for the tip.

I haven't tried it, but there's an option in v11 on the Burn tab: [ ] Use
Media Information to arrange files in folders on disc.

The Help file says:
Use media information to arrange burned files in folders on the data CD.
Select this option if you want to organize files burned to data CDs into
the following folders: \Music\Artist\Album, \TV, \Video, and \Picture
(this folder will include a portion of the original path of the file as
well). If you don't select this option, all of the burned files are stored
together in the root folder of the CD. If album and album artist media
information is missing from the files, they will be stored in folders
titled Unknown Artist\Unknown Album. To prevent this from happening, make
sure the files contain album and album artist information before burning.
If necessary, you can add or edit the media information for the files.

I believe you would have a better experience doing this from the Windows
Explorer CD burner - WMP doesn't really have any native capability for
that that I'm aware of.

My car THX-II CD player can play in "Folder" mode. In burning
selections
from my WMP11 library to a data cd, I want to assign selections to
folders on
the target CD. If this can be done, how?
