I believe the 1080p you're talking about is for screen resolution and/or HD
video; not processor speed.

Please help...
I want to buy a laptop that will play a 1080p wmvhd movie such as T2
Extreme
DVD or any of the WMV-HD downloads available but the Windows Media site
only
gives requirements for the older Pentium 4 and AMD processors, ie: 3GHz or
higher.
Recently, Intel and AMD have upgraded to these newer processors that while
they claim are faster, even their best barely tops 2GHz.
Can someone please tell me what requirements based on either the newer
intel
duo-core processors or AMD's equivalent processors and other features I
will
need to know to pick the right laptop to play WMV-HD 1080p video.
Microsoft, if you happen to come across this post, can you please update
your Windows Media site to show more options for just which of Intel &
AMD's
newer line of processors can perform when playing WMV-HD content such as
720p
or 1080p movies.
Thanks for listening
.
