Mute audio
Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance
When using the Windows Media Player, I move the Volume bar (at the
bottom of the player) to the right to increase the volume or to the
left to decrease the volume.
When I move the Volume bar ALL the way to the left, my audio device
become muted. Then, when I move the Volume bar to the right, my audio
device remains muted.
To "un-mute" the device, I have to go into Settings/Control
Panel/Sounds and Audio Devices.
Why can't I "un-mute" the device by just moving the Volume bar to the
right to increase the volume?
