Everything
ran great until recently. I don't want to complicate things further by
messing around with things until I'm informed on how to do so by an expert

If PowerDVD or Nero don't work, WMP won't be able to, since WMP has to
rely
on their decoders in order for DVD playback to work. I'd suggest getting
either PowerDVD or Nero to work, and then setting WMP to use that
decoder.....

as possible. Recently I've installed a few programs and now have the
following playback problems:
WMP10: Hangs or doesn't open intermittently.
error Signature

PowerDVD XP: Error F4D41436: "The TV Out port of your display card is
not
working properly. This copy protected disc can not be played when the
TV

function is enabled".
Nero Showtime 2: "Cannot play this media file. The file is either
corrupt
or
the application does not support the format you are trying to play".
These problems didn't occur prior to install. I've tried using MPC
which
initially appears to run fine. But I'd rather identify and fix this
problem
as I do pefer WMP.
