Or would forcing to unload .dlls also be the problem?

Not that I'm aware of. If this isn't working for you and you don't have any
Windows skinning or anti-virus software interfering with shell temporary
file creation (and the %temp% dir is of slight interest here, I believe),
you'd probably need to contact actual technical support at this point.

It's there, but it still doesn't work.
Is there a registry value that's needed for it to work also?

Do you know what allows those context to work, like a .dll or
something?

I don't believe that change would do it. That value should be
"{09799AFB-AD67-11d1-ABCD-00C04FC30936}", I believe, if you want to
restore
it.
The registry is extremely powerful - be very careful about editing it.

When I right click, I have
Play (default)
Add to Now Playing list
Add to Playlist
Add to Burn list
Add to Sync list
except NONE of them work, and again I can't double click the media
file.
Do you think removing the "Open With" context has anything to do
with
this?
I used the reg file
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00
;Remove Open With From Right Click
[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\*\shellex\ContextMenuHandlers\Open With]
@=""
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If this is the problem can someone post the code to restore the
"Open
With"
context as I didn't backup the key.

Whenever I double click a media file associated with WMP it never
opens
the
player, and the right click context doesn't work either.
Strangest
part
is,
all of this works after I open the media player first. What's
going
on?
Can someone help me get back this function?
