OK, the default file seems to be .cda on the CDs I've burned from .wma files.
I don't even know what .cda is, but it's what Media Player creates. This
format works fine for me to play the CDs in my car. I'm not up on all the
new stuff, I know DOS inside out, but that's pretty useless now. I
understand drag and drop. However, drag & drop doth not a CD burn. I'm
trying to learn more about media player, it's one of the least intuitive
pieces of software I've ever used.
I have songes in both .wma and .mp3 format. I tried to combine some of them
to burn a cd and media player won't do a thing but hang. If I take the .mp3
files off the burn list, then it burns the .wma files just fine, and I end up
with a cd that has those mystery .cda files and it works just fine. I want
a music cd I can play in my car, it's just that simple! I know this must
sound stupid to someone who can use media player in their sleep, but I've
spent a week looking through all the help info and have found nada that
directly addresses my question.
Put as simply as I can.......Why can't I burn .wma & .mp3 files onto the
same cd? There's no error message, the player just hangs.
I appreciate people who are willing to share their knowledge. I always say
"the only stupid question is the one you don't ask cuz you'll never get the
answer!" If you had a bow and some arrows and the bow wouldn't shoot the
arrows, wouldn't you be confused?
Thanks to all who helped!
