Problem playing .WMV in Windows 98

Hi,

I am having problems playing most, but not all .WMV files. The audio plays
OK, but the video is blue (in colour not content!) with intermittent flashes
of multicolour patterns.

I am running Windows Media Player version 7.01.00.3055 on Windows 98. I
updated the player today and believe this is the latest available for 98.

Is there anything I can do or am I stuck with it?
