I’m running Windows Media Services Version 9 on my SBS 2003 box without ISA
running and would like to stream wmv files! When I had Windows 2000 Server I
had this configured with Media Services but for some reasons same
configurations with Version 9 won’t work. I have ports 1755 and 554 (TCP and
UDP) opened on my firewall and SBS basic firewall.
Note that when I stream locally wmv stream just fine so I think the problem
is causing by the ports!!! I would really appreciate if some one can help me
to setup my ports or if there is something else that I need to do to stream
these files over my domains from outside.
Here is how they are set on my media services:
Publishing Point > Files in a directory … > On-demand publishing point
Please advice.
Thanks,
Mike
