WMP - No Sound, Choppy Video

WMP has worked for me for ages and I never had any problems with it. I have always been able to play anything and get good video/audio. However, I tried to play this one file that have played a dozen times before, and all of a sudden there is no audio and the video is choppy. I try to play other files, including those that have worked before, and the same thing happens to them as well. I tried reinstalling a couple times and tried reinstalling some codecs but so far nothing has worked. Can anyone help me?
