Hi, Steve,
Does the WMS build number you see in the WMS console under Category /
General / Property (e.g., 6001 in the string 9.5.6001) match the OS build
number (e.g., 6001 in 6.0.6001) that you see in the first line of a CMD
window? I'm guessing the MSDN version might be a pre-release version with a
different build number. If so, you'll need to get an RTM (Release to
Manufacture) build of Windows Server to install WMS on.

I'm trying to install Windows Media Services 2008 on a 64 bit Windows 2008.
Enterprise Server box and get the error "This update does not apply to your
system". The only thing that I can see that could be causing this is that it
is a MSDN version of Windows Server.
Is it possible to install media services on an MSDN licensed OS?
If so, what could be wrong?
Regards,
Steve
