You need to use DRM solutions to encrypt the stream and issue licenses to
the clients.

IF it is a single user, the easy way to do this is to setup an access
list based on the single users IP address
If this is for multiple viewers, then the way most folk do it is to
DRM the WMS files.
A typical example of an on-demand unicast streams is downloading pay
per view movies. All of these have DRM with different rulesets
(number of views, duration, etc)
It isnt 'easy'

Here is what I want to do. Provide on-demand unicast streams from WMS that
require authentication and encrypt the stream contents for secure content
delivery.
The use case is a user wants to login to a website and then be able to
access content securely across the internet. The stream content is private
to everyone but the user and server.
If I was using IIS I would just setup SSL and provide an authentication
mechanism. It does not look like there is an easy way to do this with WMS.
I am guessing I can accomplish this with a custom authentication plug-in
and
DRM some how. Looks like all of the DRM documentation is geared for iTunes
type use and not on-demand streams. I really don't care about how the
content is used other than it is transmitted securely.
So is there an easy way to do this?
