clients can fast forward

Hi,
This is probably a newbie question, but here goes. I have wmv files
that I created by converting mpg files to wmv with vlc. The files
play fine unless the client user tries to skip ahead. The files are
lectures that are two hours long and about 500 megs. If the same
client plays the files from a local copy, the client can skip around
with no problem. It's only when they are streamed that the client has
the problem, so I'm thinking it is some configuration on the server
end. I'm just using the defaults install of windows media server 9 on
Windows server 2003 R2. The samples that ship are so short they don't
have a problem.
My thought is that when the client skips ahead the server isn't
reading through the large file and finding the right spot.
Any ideas or more information that you need? Currently this is just a
test lab: 1 server and 1 client, so the loads are *really* light.
Thanks!
