Streaming Media Services and Media Player 11

.....I have read several recent posts and I believe I understand that video
streamed from Window 2000 server and Windows Media Services Version 4 using
MMS protocol will no longer work with Media Player 11. Correct? For my
part I can not seem to get any protocol to stream to Media Player 11 with my
server setup??
For now I have no choice, I am stuck with Window 2000 Server. If I
understand correctly, Windows Media Services Version 9 will only run on
Window Server 2003, so I am also stuck with Windows Media Services ver 4.
Several posts have indicated that I need to change from "MMS" streaming
protocol to "RSTP" or "HTTP" in my ASX files. This is pretty straight
forward as my
application is fairly well contained and available to a small/limited
audience.
However, my tests pasting a modified URL into Media Player 11 using either
RSTP or HTTP or modifying selected ASX files did not work and gave me an
error message that the file was not found. If I use HTTP and point to the
"real" folder on the website (as opposed to the Media Services "alias")
then the video plays fine, but I suspect it is not being streamed (??).
Do I have any options for streaming video from this Window 2000 Server to
WP11 clients? Do I have to change something on the Window 2000 Server or
Media Services to activate RSTP?
Also, what are the operational differences between RSTP and HTTP monikers in
my ASX files?
Thanks in advance for any help and advice you can supply.......Rob aka RDK
