Thanks Neil. I downloaded VideoLan and Roku radio tuner (to determine the
stream location). I can play the stream in Windows media Player or
VideoLan. I want to ask, when you stream a movie or TV Show, does the full
stream get cached to the local hard disk in some type of manner?

Using tools like ASFRecorder (for windows media content) or VideoLAN

You may need to determine the ultimate stream location as it's
probably not a direct link to the video in the web page. For that I'd
suggest Roku radio tuner, which can extract the streaming media URLs
requested by your PC : You can download that from here

Feeding the URL of the "telecast" as you call it (invented term BTW)
to VLC and choosing to save the file as an ASF file should get you a
recording of non-encrypted (DRM) content.
