RE: Specified start point in archived stream

No, I have not found an answer. I am investigating using Markers.

When you said open a DVD at a specific point are you wanting to open it to
publish on the Media Server or open in the Media Player at that point?

You may want to look at Markers for what you are doing also. The
documentation says:
"A marker specifies a position in an audio or video file similar to a point
in a timeline. You can use markers to enable users to seek to selected
positions in the digital media file..."

>From a player object you can use IWMPControls::put_currentPosition. The
method specifies the current position in the media item in seconds from the
beginning.

On the last note, can you use a DVD as a publishing point?

Hope this helps.
