If it says the publishing point has started but streaming has ended, you can
create a server-side playlist that will continuously loop through content until
it comes back online. One of the content sources has to be available, so a .wmv
file or some other local source must exist that it can stream, then when it's
done playing that it will go back and try your source stream again. That's how
I've gotten around this.
However, I have seen situations with multicast publishing points where they
appear to be streaming when in reality they are not. Don't have a workaround
for that one yet.
