RE: Help making wsx work



What you are doing is in short a "Distribution" scenario, and MMS protocol is
not supported in a distribution scenario from WMS. You would probably find
errors in your troubleshooting tab indicating you cannot connect to the
upstream Helix server.

You might want to change your uplink URl in the WSX to HTTP:// or RTSP://
but I am not sure if Helix server supports WM Server compliant HTTP and RTSP
streaming. Please consult Helix documentation as appropriate.

For example, you should try and change the entry to look like:
<media id="feed1" src="rtsp://<Helix
server>/wmtencoder/commencement?WMReconnect=0" />

If it does not work, please try sourcing from an upstream Windows Media
server and see if it works.
