>From your work, the IPAddress of "DELLMACHINE" cannot be
resolved properly to your home machine - this is not a
fully qualified domain name, so likely that your system
is trying to find a system named "dellmachine" on your
local network at work and fails.

You will need to find the right full internet address
with which your DELLMACHINE is accessible on the internet
and connect to it (for example,
mms://yourinternetaddress.com/LiveEvents.).

Also, please note that you will need to open more ports
at the server (if you have firewall on the server) to
allow the streaming protocols to connect to your
broadcast. The typical ports that need open are 554 if
you need a WMP9 player to connect to your server or 1755
if using an older player.

Thx,
Ravi

>I've been trying to serve a live unicast broadcast for
several YEARS now. Everything works fine on the local
network but when I call my web site from an external
location (from work) I am unable to make a connection.
The problem appears to be within my .ASX file. Extrenal
browsers don't seem to recognize the machine name being
used in "mms:/DELLMACHINE/LiveEvents".
