Cross-Domain Issue with WMplayer plug-in on Vista

I've run into a new weird bug-issue involving WMP11 when used as a plug-in.
I have a web site that uses streaming video delivery services.
It's been running fine for quite a while. I think that following a Vista
upgrade, the web site has cease working for users running on Vista OS.
For example, I have 2PCs and 1 Vista PC at home and only the latter
"features" this problem.
Since I am developing this site, I have a local version of my web site pages.
For example, if I have these 4 video URLS embeded in a "testing.html" web
page:
"C:\\temp\\myvideo.wmv"
"mms://wm.microsoft.com/ms/xbox/video/meettherobinsons/MTR_TV_Final-Hi.wmv"
"mms://207.150.192.43/myvideo.wmv"
They will all work fine if I launched the HTML page directly from Windows
Explorer (in other words launching "file:///c:\wwwroot\testing.html".
But if the page is accessed through a web site (either locally on my
localhost or another remote server), only the first two video links work when
I do this on the Vista computer.
If I do the same test on XP computers, all videos work OK in all
circumstances.
This looks like a "cross-domain" issue similar to the security rules used
within Flash actionscript development.
Again, this is totally new. Even my Vista laptop did not have this issue
last week.
Did anybody else saw the same problem? It dos have similarity with the
problem mentioned in the "rtsp in WMP' post earlier.
Thanks
.
