Where can I download the Windows Media Player 11 SDK for Windows XP x86? I
saw the Windows SDK for Vista which contains WMP 11 SDK but I do not have

can I use an older SDK (IE. Windows Media Player 10 SDK) to work with WMP
WMP10 SDK is close enough, not a great deal changed. The main new
addition was an API to use the library search with conditional
searching.
The documentation is online at MSDN, shoould you need to refer to
specific items, and is more likely to be kept up to date than a SDK
download package (CHM or similar)

You do not require Vista to install the windows SDK - checking the
release notes is a good first step -
"System Requirements Windows Server 2003; Windows Server 2003 R2
(32-Bit x86); Windows Server 2003 R2 x64 editions; Windows Server 2003
Service Pack 1; Windows Server 2003 x64 editions; Windows Vista;
Windows XP Professional x64 Edition ; Windows XP Service Pack 2"
So assuming you have XPSP2 somewhere, you should be fine. A DVD of the
SDK is available if you don't want to download all 1.1GB.
