C# and MTP

I am starting a project which I hope to do in C# of which a main component
will be Media Transfer Protocol. Any ideas or pointers would be greatly
appreciated. I have downloaded the SDKs and the MTPPK. There are a couple
of dll's in there that look like they maybe useful but of course no
documentation (at least that I can find). One of them (MTPACCESS.dll)
appears to be a COM object but does not show up in the COM list in VS so..
Also, there is a dll in the DirectMTP that might be useful but again who
knows? Is this the way to go or what? TIA
