I am running Windows Media Player but I do not know what version..
System is Win XP Pro, with SP3 installed
For the first time in quite a while, I tried to open My Music via shortcut
from desktop and to play music. Received an error message " Windows Media
Player cannot play the file. One or more codecs required to play the file
could not be found."
And what file type is the music that prompts the error message?
I do not know what a Codec is. I googled it and there a lot of codecs
that
are
available for download but I don't know where to start.
Never had this kind of problem before
You mean that specific tracks played previously, but now you receive
an error message for the very same tracks?
Are they downloads, or tracks you ripped yourself, are they wave, MP3,
CD-DA, wma???????
Thanks
Roger
