Now i cant even revert back to WMP 10 they have somehow blocked it, Says my

better> WMP10 worked beautiflly. How frigging hard is it to have the software
recognize that there are both Audio/Video files on ONE  disk.  Any cd that i
try to rip, that also has a DVD bonus video, the software refuses to "see"
the music files and automatically starts the DVD portion.

Its great that so many are willing to help others out, dont get me wrong, i
just find Microsoft's inability to provide decent content out of the box
<downloads/updates etc> disgusting, we are stuck with their OS, which they
fail to support properly unless you PAY for it, and these supposed "Updates"
break more than they fix, is anyone else just fed up ?

You might try the trial version of Easy CD-DV Extractor at
http://www.poikosoft.com/ . It has a long enough trial time to see if
it will work for you, and the code is clean and easy to uninstall if
you decide not to buy it in the future. If you do not buy it, it just
quits working after a time. Some CDs also have data tracks that will
prevent ripping the CD, especially for older media programs.
