Re: Disabling Library

Tech Tip: Click here to run a free scan for Windows Errors and optimize PC performance

The RIP folder must exist. Have it be a valid folder that you just don't
care about/don't use.

The library will monitor the Rip folder regardless of all else. So have
that be bogus/empty.

If you have a previous migrated library, it will importa that - so make
sure
that's gone too when you reset the library. Or mark the library folder
read-only...

The library process in WMP 11 is really bugging me. (I use Vista 32
Home
Premium).

I do not use Media Player, I use another product and I have a database
function monitoring my severlal thousand tracks.

I have set-up the Options to monitor just the one folder (which I
always
keep empty) as I cannot see any way to turn it off completely.
Periodically, I look at it, and for example today it has 7000 tracks in
the
library.

I definitely did not knowingly change the settings, but this happens
every
time I reset it.

I do not want another programme scanning for media files and building a
huge
database.

Please can someone tell me how I get rid of this, and more importantly
keep
it from resetting (presumably when Microsoft Update adds some update.)
