Actually I have better tools then the Microsoft search, and the URL that Web
Help takes you to may not be that URL. Could you double check? The actual
URL's originalID may be relevant, but the full URL is important. If that
*was* your exact URL, I would tell you to upgrade your system via Windows
Update since it's very out of date. =)

Doing a search in www.microsoft.com for Windows Media Player and C00D11C0
Gives
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/webhelp/default.aspx?mpver=11.0.6000.6336&id=C00D11C0&contextid=71&originalid=C00D0029
That is the web page that was in the link.
If I reverse the stream then I don't get an error.
Broadcam tech support thinks it is a router or a firewall. There is
nothing
I can see on the two computers involved. I don't see anything in the
router
Ipitomy 1000 settings. Tried streaming with Windows Firewall off. Symantec
Anti-virus 10 does not have a firewall. Don't know if the Windows Server
2008
with the Symantec End Protection on the network would be on the path.
I did downgrade from version 11 to 10 and the error changed. Now the error
is "An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host"
What other streams did you want to see?

Click Web Help on that dialog - what *URL* does it take you to?
Do other streams work on that system?

It seems it has been a while since someone commented on this error.
I get
"Windows media player cannot play the file because a network error
occurred.
The server might not be available (for example, the server is busy or
not
online) or you might not be connected to the network"
I am running WMP version 10. I have Windows XP SP3.
I am attempting to view remotely a video stream. Specifically I have
NCH
software Broadcam on the host computer. The Internet connection does
work
for
a differnet remote computer but not for the one that has the error.
